Her influential leadership has made waves across various levels of government — city, county, and state — culminating in her significant advisory roles to Governor Abbott on higher education initiatives for a decade, and to Governor Perry for four years. Through her integral contributions to the Governor’s University Research Initiative (GURI), Jacquie has been instrumental in driving over $110 million in funding to public universities, underscoring her remarkable impact on enhancing the educational framework.
