Catalano manages an active board portfolio, serving as an independent director for both public corporations and not-for-profit organizations. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Mead Johnson Nutrition, Willis Group Holdings, Kraton Performance Polymers, and Chemtura Corporation. In the not-for-profit sector, Ms. Catalano is a member of the National Board of Directors of the Alzheimer’s Association, and is an honorary co-founder and advisory board member of the Kellogg Innovation Network of Northwestern University.
With over 30 years of corporate experience, Ms. Catalano is a renowned expert on the topics of marketing and strategic branding, international business development, and is an outspoken champion of women in business. As Group Vice President, Marketing for BP in London, she was instrumental in repositioning the BP brand, and was a primary voice behind the campaign to establish BP’s “beyond petroleum” positioning. In 1995 and 1996 she served as President, Amoco Orient Oil Company in Beijing, China, where she successfully oversaw the completion of Amoco’s first downstream joint venture. Her understanding of Chinese societal and business culture coupled with strong western operational management experience provides a unique blend of skills necessary for commercial success in the PRC. Diane D. Miller President and CEO, Wilcox Miller & Nelson Director, NACD Northern California Chapter, California Chamber of Commerce, University of the Pacific NACD Board Governance Fellow, NACD Master Class Instructor Ms. Miller is a certified public company director through the Director Certification Program at UCLA’s Anderson School of Business, and holds a current Certificate of Director Professionalism, Board Governance Fellow, and Master designations from NACD. Since 2007, she has been facilitating public, private and nonprofit company board evaluation and governance education programs for NACD as part of their Board Advisory Services faculty; she has consistently received excellent evaluations from their clients.
Ms. Miller is President of Wilcox Miller & Nelson, a human capital consulting firm. She is also involved in a technology start-up related to the new variable workforce. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Miller served as Vice President of Portfolio Management for a national real estate investment company, which at that time was the second largest in the nation. Ms. Miller is a board member of the California Chamber of Commerce where she serves as Vice Chair of their PAC and on the Audit Committee. Ms. Miller serves as Board Chair of The Host Committee, which annually gathers the top 1,000 California industry and government leaders. She also serves as Chair Emeritus of the Northern California Chapter Board of the National Association of Corporate Directors, and is a Regent at the University of the Pacific. At the University, she chairs the Audit Committee. Ms. Miller served from 2004-2013 on the board of Umpqua Holdings (a NASDAQ-traded financial services company in California, Oregon, Nevada and Washington, which grew from $1 billion to $12 billion during her board tenure), where she served on the Audit, Compensation, and Loan and Investment Committees. In 2012, Ms. Page was a finalist for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year in central Texas and was recognized as one of the top 20 business leaders in the Austin area. In 2014 Ms. Page was named by the Austin Business Journal as a “Woman of Influence and Power” in Central Texas. Most recently, Ms Page was named a “Texas Xconomist” where she will be working with Xconomist throughout the US with an emphasis on the new ecosystem surrounding the Dell medical school. In the year’s preceding Vermillion, Ms. Page served on the executive team at Laboratory Corporation of American and in various executive management roles with the following companies: American Monitor Corporation and Luminex. Ms. Page earned her degrees from Santa Fe Community College and the University of Florida. In 2003 she completed an executive management program at the Kellogg School in Chicago. She resides in Austin, Texas and has one daughter, Madison Page. Both she and her daughter are active in the community and are long time patrons for The St David’s Foundation, The Center for Child Protection, and Spirit Reins.
