Paul Cheong currently serves as First Vice President/Senior Relationship Manager and SBA Officer for East West Bank in the Texas Region.  East West Bank was founded in 1973 in California.  With over $37.2 billion in Total Assets (as of 12.31.17), the Bank currently has over 130 locations worldwide, including California, New York, Georgia, Massachusetts, Texas and Washington and in Greater China (5 Full Services Branches in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Shanghai Free Trade Zone, Shantou and Shenzhen; 5 Representative Offices in Beijing, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Xiamen and Taipei).  East West Bank was ranked in the Top 15 of the 100 Best Banks in America by Forbes since 2010.
Paul Cheong received both his B.S. degree in Biology in 1984 and M.B.A. degree in Finance in 1990 from the University of Houston/University Park.  He has over 23 years of banking experience focusing on Commercial Lending and SBA loan program.  In 2006, Paul Cheong was selected by the Houston SBA District Office as Financial Service Champion of the Year.  From 2009 to 2011, he served as the Chairman of the SBA Houston District Advisory Council.  He also served as 2011 President of the Houston Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Association.
